It can be a thankless task at times so each month we look forward\u00a0 to recognising and rewarding their achievements \u00a0and sharing insights with you. <\/span><\/p>\n This Month\u2019s Reward and Recognition for High Performers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Meet Kris Lopez \u2013 Senior Business Analyst \u2013 Building Services Industry \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n What Motivates You ?<\/strong><\/p>\n Kris is quite ambitious and has a 5 and 10 year plan that he wants to achieve. In order to achieve these, Kris explains that he needs to keep pushing himself and learning new skills, while completing his Data Science Degree at Sydney Uni. \u00a0\u00a0He has progressed from a Business Analyst to Business intelligence Analyst and now a Business Intelligence Developer. Ultimately, his plan is to one day work within Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n What do you love about your job ?<\/strong><\/p>\n From the first time Kris saw an Excel spreadsheet he had a natural interest and is now known as the \u201cSpread Sheet Guy\u201d. \u00a0Kris loves to apply his learning through University in the workplace, and Chubb gives him the autonomy to do so. He is able to try new thing that he sees will benefit the organisation. There\u2019s a mutual respect between all parties, and Kris feels his contributions are valued.<\/p>\n Have You Improved Process and Introduced Innovation?<\/strong><\/p>\n When Kris first started, he was left with some unfinished projects. One was a \u201cquoting tool\u201d that wasn\u2019t working and was ineffective and was basically useless. Kris started the process from scratch again, he identified new features, options, easier, faster and a better ways to use the tool which included some automation of some aspects. This has saved time, money and allowed the Estimation team to respond quicker to clients. It\u2019s now the standardised estimating\u00a0 and quoting tool across the entire business, and has been used for over 80,000 quoted pieces of work.<\/p>\n What Do You Enjoy Most About Working with Astrum and Chubb?<\/strong><\/p>\n Kris enjoys applying his newly acquired skills in the workplace, introducing new initiatives and the ability to grow and develop in the role. Chubb is very supportive of his career and his achieving his goals, in addition Chubb sees the value in what he can produce. What Are\u00a0 3 Things You Can\u2019t You Live Without at Work?<\/strong><\/p>\n WIFI and the ability to work with a variety of people throughout the business.<\/p>\n Kris loves the onsite Canteen.\u00a0 \u201cI get so engrossed in my work that I enjoy being able to grab food and keep working without loosing momentum and train of thought\u201d.<\/p>\n The overall support of the business and people, including the flexible work hours.<\/p>\n Feedback from Kris\u2019s Manager <\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cKris is really valuable to our business.\u00a0 The operation teams heavily rely on some of his tools, such as portable daily tracker, defect quoting tool and sales incentives calculator to name a few.
